The Shimano PD-RS500 Pedals are clipless road bike pedals designed to offer an easy-to-use, stable, and efficient entry into the SPD-SL system, making them ideal for beginner and recreational road cyclists.
These pedals feature a lighter spring tension and a larger entry target, which simplifies clipping in and out, boosting confidence, especially at traffic lights. The extra-wide platform provides excellent foot support and pedaling stability, ensuring efficient power transfer from your body to the bike. Durability is enhanced with a stainless steel body plate that reduces flex and pedal body wear.
The PD-RS500 pedals are built with a robust chromoly steel spindle and include SM-SH11 cleats, which offer 6 degrees of float for comfortable pedaling movement. The adjustable release tension allows riders to fine-tune the clip-in/out resistance to their preference. Weighing approximately 320g per pair, these SPD-SL pedals are compatible with 3-bolt road cleats.
